The counterfeiting problem: "Musang King" in informal markets can be misrepresented. Without verified grafted seedling provenance, a tree labeled "Musang King" might be a mislabeled inferior variety, or a seedling grown from a Musang King seed (which will not produce true Musang King characteristics). Price is not a reliable indicator — verified sourcing from a registered, known orchard is the only way to be certain.
